Well Jeff,
    I used to fly a Piper Colt.  My instructor indicated that the glide
ratio on the Colt was about the same as a 1200 pound cook stove.  The
Coupe
is about the same.  But, in an emergency situation is is easy to pick your
landing spot.  Throw something heavy out the window, watch where it
impacts
mother earth, and you will know the near vicinity of where you want to
land.
