Hello John,I have found that having the tail at the right level makes the plane a lot easier to land and take off.I do not know if this is right or not but it works for me:During a strong crosswind, that is not gusting,I come in a little slower than normal.I do not add speed like in a piper ect.just the opposite.Like other people have said, the plane can handle a lot of crosswind if the pilot can.Work your way up to it and be careful. If possible, take along a person that has a lot of time in a coupe to make it easier,But make sure that you slow down a lot after landing before you try to turn off the runway if the wind is coming from the opposite side of the runway.I found this out the hard way,and it hurt my pride a little at the airport. The wind was from the right and I had to turn left to go park.It was blowing about 35KTS the tower told me,and I was only rolling about 20 mph and no matter how much I turned to the left,it still wanted to go dead ahead and to the right until I almost came to a stop.Just food for thought.Jim in Ct. ========================================================================== ==== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
