Well, I fished around enough to find a support page to request help with recovering my emails. I filled out the form, submitted it and got this reply from The Google Team: "After investigating, we discovered that we will not be able to successfully recover messages in this case. We apologize for this inconvenience."
Must have been a Hell of an investigation since the reply showed up in my inbox within seconds of my request.
