Marko - The one I used is "Google contacts", available here: http://hogi.sakura.ne.jp/en/index.rhtml I had to refer to its help file before I could install it into T-bird, but installation is pretty simple, and it does seem to work well.
For now, I think I'll leave Calendar unsynch'd. I have very few things to schedule. More importantly, I have a wife with a prodigious memory, so she can be my calendar backup.
