Apparently another benefit is that we would be in a better position to work with Universities across the state (to wit the new sub-lug question). Since Universities seem to like dealing with 'official' organizations just like corporations do, we can extend our reach into the Universities by making it easier for campus groups to create local chapters under the GNHLUG banner. Local groups (University LUGs) would be able to petition to use school resources such as meeting facilities with less interference b/c they would be "official student organizations". The GNHLUG at large would be better able to reach down into the LUG to hold install-fests, or petition students to volunteer for GNHLUG activities. This is of course my interpretation, and I could be off. _______________________________________________ gnhlug-org mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-org
