Glad to hear it.  A cowork wrote me an alias for cdrecord that I find
easier than remembering parameters - anybody who would like to use it
please feel free.  We decided to open source it.  ;)

(From my /etc/bashrc - tweak as necessary)

alias burn='cdrecord -v -eject speed=4 dev=1,0,0'
