If your trying to install from an rpm and you used the -i option try -U instead
which will upgrade from a previous version if your using some other means to
install I'm not sure what to do.

No, I don't think there is a winamp for linux, xmms is as close as it comes and
its near identical. You can even use winamp skins with xmms.

Depends on what desktop environment you are using, is it Gnome or KDE or
something else?

I'm not exactly sure about this one a quick look at the xmms features webpage
doesnt reveal any info about having drag and drop support but then again I'm
not using eather kde or gnome right now to test

Regardless of all that I have found xmms to be very easy to use and even easier
to migrate to from winamp
