I prefer Netscape, myself, but I've also had success with
KMail. Personally, after a whole lot of trial and error, I ended up
using a combination of Fetchmail, Procmail, and IMAP. I'm currently
using Pine, but that isn't exactly a GUI... no matter how easy it is to
use....
