Go up to the Edit menu, select Preferences. Under Appearance, you'll
see Fonts. That's what you want to change. Select the variable and
fixed width fonts you want. Now, go just below the line on the right
side, and select the top box: "Use my default fonts, overriding
document-specified fonts". This is the important step. Otherwise, NS
seems to want to use what it thinks are the "document" fonts. I
personally have never been able to see a difference between the two
choices below that, they both seem to act the same.
