Ditto. And now that HTML has taken over the world, info(1) is more-or-less
completely obsolete. (The texinfo sources themselves convert to HTML easily
enough.) But RMS tends to be, shall we say, somewhat obstinate, so I suspect
we'll have that particular millstone tied to our necks for some time to come.
One thing *in particular* that really pisses me off about the FSF, info, and
man pages, is when you call up one of their man pages, and it begins with a
disclaimer that "manpages are obsolete" and to check the info pages instead.
So then I pull up info and get... the exact same manpage! Complete with the
same disclaimer! Thanks, guys.

One of the best reasons I can think of for installing GNOME (or maybe KDE,
too, haven't checked) is the web-browser-like interface to info. ;-)
