That's one of my biggest complaints about them. There are a lot of things I
don't like about either Gnome or KDE, but by far it's the lack of docs. There
are a bunch of great utilities that come with both, but how the hell am I
supposed to know how to use them or *if* I want to use them if I don't know
what they do!!!

For example, Under the Gnome->Applications menu, there are 14 applications
listed. 12 if you don't count the fact that I have Applixware and XEmacs
installed, and they both probably inserted themselves into the menu-bar.

Under the Gnome help system, under Applications, there are a grand total of 2
applications listed, Gnome Time Tracker and Gdict. No mention of:

Gnumeric, AbiWord, Dia, GnomeCal, GnomeCard, Gedit, GXedit, vim,
        gnotepad GnomePGP,or emacs.

Now, I can probably figure out what some of these do, but how am I supposed to
figure out how to use them? I always have an xterm open, 'man <command>' used
to do wonders for those who knew how and wanted to RTFM. Unfortunately,
there's no longer and FM to R! Now what am I supposed to tell people who ask
stupid questions? ;)
