Yup - dhcpd is the dhcp server. What I said is "dhcpcd" (DHCP Client
Daemon) which is (I believe) what Mandrake 7.1 tries to use for dhcp by
default. This is what my friend had no luck with which is why I was
suggesting trying pump.
