Well, you might want to try to update your system. I know ftp.eecs.umich.edu carries
RedHat 6.2 updates (I believe in /pub/linux/redhat/updates). I don't run Redhat, so I
can't guarentee this will work.
Also, you should really consider not running as root. Create yourself a normal user,
then su to root when you have to.
