I just figured I would give my 2 cents and suggest blackbox. It's a very fast,
clean, and stable window manager. If you're trying to step away from the more Win*
like UI, then blackbox may be for you.

Blackbox has support for themes (and really nice ones too) at bb.themes.org.
Blackbox can also handle dockapps (as known in afterstep and windowmaker).

Here is an old screenshot of my desktop. It's changed a little since then, but this
is the most recent one I could find.
