I agree with what you say but the above does not address what Rob said at
all... his point was that if you have a BIOS password "burned" into the
eprom, you'll have to know the password in order to boot the laptop.  That
isn't really a solution though, because you can as easily replace the
"special" BIOS as you did the original BIOS...
