Has there ever been a major release *WITHOUT* a change in the
firewalling code? ;-) I have to say, thogh, every time has been a
change for the better. IPTables is a great improvement over IPChains,
wich was an incredible step up from ipfwadm. For anyone that has not
yet looked at IPTables, there is a great tutorial at
http://www.boingworld.com/workshops/linux/iptables-tutorial/.
