C# does have a formal language definition, but most of it is still
vaporware, which has always been Microsoft's chief product.

He may be a little too impressed with them, but I'm strongly getting the
impression that you yourself are having a knee-jerk reaction to the M-word.

You are starting to sound a bit paranoid there. Simply because he likes
something Microsoft did not mean the world is coming to an end. If it did,
we would already be screwed:
$ cd /usr/src/linux
$ grep -ir microsoft * | wc -l

The Register has a tendency to be, shall we say, somewhat incendiary in
their selection and presentation of material. While I like reading it for
recreation, I take everything there with a good deal of salt.
