Howdy, all -- an issue that I've had to deal with from time to time is 8-bit X applications, being exported from other platforms (Solaris and, currently, HP/UX) is that the application comes up... but you can't see diddly. The color "scheme" is frequently a lovely yellow-on-yellow. Does anyone know of any way to, say, single out an application for a private eight-bit colormap? Or...? I'm pretty out of ideas, and I'd *really* like to get this working.
