Hello list,
As some of you may know, this Wednesday, we are going to be trying a
hands-on, interactive meeting [1]. The goal is to get the laptops of those
who are interested to work with WiFi/802.11b wireless cards. I am trying to
collect binary packages for various distributions, so we can provide them
for people if needed. I've got Red Hat and Mandrake taken care of.
What I would like is for someone knowledgeable about Debian to collect
kernel and PCMCIA packages (both "stable" and whatever is considered
cutting-edge-but-not-actively-on-fire). I don't know anything about how
Debian packages their kernels or PCMCIA support, and I really don't want to
start guessing.
I've got the Debian packages for "wireless-tools". I just need the kernel
and PCMCIA stuff.
Format can be CD or computer-with-a-working-NIC, whatever works.
If anyone wants to step forward and help us support Debian this
Wednesday, please let me know.
Thanks!

[1] Clever attempt to disguise the fact that we don't have a real
presentation ready.
