BTW, "verification" (which is involved with actually
identifying the truth of some matter - check the
etymology) is almost entirely unrelated to whether
some news outlet has decided to repeat some story.
Why don't we all just eat at the place in question?
Those who want to pursue the matter will presumably
have an opportunity to quiz the management (thereby
registering their concerns as directly as possible)
while those who just want to eat can, um, just eat.
