Not true, as the model railroad appeals court determined. Harm does not
have to be financial. The FSF believes that users are harmed when they
are not given the four freedoms or not informed of their rights to have
them. As copyright holders, they can act to prevent this harm when their
copyrights are violated.
What the FSF believes pales in the face of what the judge believes and the
judge is not yet convinced. Here we have this principle squarely framed in
a lawsuit that has not yet gone to final judgement and it is going to be
interesting to see where it goes. As of the moment, your side is losing.
