I'm not concerned with its placement.
You wrote that it is *required* on the title page. And I know that
the US-rule that there has to be a copyright notice somewhere on
the paper (maybe on one of the possibly many title pages) *is* outdated
(for paper work).
I've a lot of one or two page works on my server esp. choral music
or parts. It would be a pity to add this overhead if all fits already
on one sheet.
