For je entries, I agree. Sometimes it is convenient to make the transactions in a single column, but as you say, the two column format has enough advantage that I prefer it. However, if you are advocating two columns for the Balance (Total), I STRONGLY disagree. There should be only one column. The entries in that column should follow one user selectable standard.
