Dear GNUCash developers and users, I am writing to request assistance with a transaction issue I encountered today. I have been a dedicated GNUCash user for the past five years, manually entering all my bank account and credit card transactions, which amounts to hundreds of thousands of entries.
Today, while attempting to duplicate a transaction, I inadvertently selected the wrong one and entered an incorrect date. I discovered this error when my account balance no longer matched my bank statement. Unfortunately, I am now unable to locate this misplaced transaction. Because I do not know which original transaction I mistakenly duplicated, I lack information about its description, amount, or the other involved account. Could you please provide guidance on how I might be able to find the most recent transaction I entered with an incorrect date? Any advice on how to identify and rectify this error would be greatly appreciated. Any way to sort the entries by the time it was entered? BTW, I have encountered similar issue couple of times but luckily I was able to find out quickly. This time it just disappeared in the pile of transactions. Thank you for your time and assistance.
