I guess the general ledger would only be useful for transactions that have a transaction date (rather than the entry date) in recent memory.
Perhaps one could use the last log file to glean more specific data about those recent transactions? I don't open log files as a rule, but I'd assume that you could reconstruct a bit more info from them and then locate the transaction in question. (I know that the log will be using the account ID rather than the human readable name, but there should be human readable data that would jog your mind). David T.
