Jerry, The attached is the screenshot of the toolbar which appears after you have: Opened the register for the required account; Selected View->Filter By from the Menu with the account register open and set the desired selection options (show all and/or a desired date range); Selected Reports->Account Report (second last item in the list) from the menu with the register for the desired account selected immediately prior; This should open a report in a tab labelled Register in a new tab which has the transactions which were selected for view in the account register
If you are not seeing anything in the report but transactions do appear in the account register then that is very weird as the Account Report does not have the options normally set by Edit->Report Options for selecting the date range that most of the other reports in the menu have If that toolbar does not appear the first item in the View submenu View->Toolbar needs to be checked i.e. a tick in the selection box to the right of the submenu entry.
