Phyllis, fret not. If you installed the program, we can find it.
The icon on your desktop is broken, but we can fix it.
You need to get gnucash running. The best way is to find it in the main
windows Start menu. It should be in there some where. Get it running,
then use the 'open file' part to find your file.

How are you trying to run the program? What are you clicking on? This
seems to me a problem with the update to newest version, what
icon/shortcut it put on your screen for you to use to run the program.
Usual as part of the "install application" process that one of these is
created for you.
I know not a programmer, but do you know how to look at/examine a
shortcut? Its "properties". In this specifically the "target"?
That's just a start. I'm going off for a few days so somebody else will
have to help her (fix, if fixable)
