That appears to copy the data from the previous transaction. I manually clear (for the stock selling) the shares, price, and amount, and then enter the correct shares and amount. Since I am in Basic Ledger mode, I did not see the numbers for the other side of the transaction (so did not alter them). As an experiment, I went to another security that has never had a Sell transaction. I start to enter the security name, do the Autocomplete, tab to the numeric fields, clear them, enter some new numbers. Then change the other security name to the money market and press Enter. When I then click on Show Splits, the money market line has a negative number of shares and a negative price (-147.963). As another experiment, back in the gold etf, I start another transaction, type 'g' (of gold), accept autocomplete the stock name and press Enter (not Tab). I then down arrow to Notes and press Enter. Then go back to the (mostly empty) transaction and fill in the Money market account name, # of shares, and dollar amount, and press Enter. Now when I look at the splits, the money market split has the correct dollar amount, but the shares and price are both empty. Can you try this?
