A friend wrote back to me off-list: "OMG! Didn't know Goa had become such a conference hub. It was not like that in the years I visited.... It surely makes up for lost foreign tourists, while visitors are probably in the demographics eyed by the government..."
When initially posted, I did comment: "There seems to be a lot getting announced for Goa this month. Are these legit events?" Am still not sure if these are genuine events. Some seem to be announcing tiny hotels as their venues (couldn't go through the entire list). If anyone has pointers on this, kindly share...
