India supplies the world with its technocrats and yet it has the worst
portals. I am still trying to recover mentally from my torturous time at Goa
archives where I was reduced to tears by the attitude of the people. Physical
archives or online archives, they have one thing in common, there are bugs
everywhere.

Problems with Abhilekh Patal: National Archives of India online websiteJames

There always have problems when ordering copies of documents through the NAI
website Abhilekh Patal. However, these problems seem to have increased
dramatically of late. Has anyone else experienced similar problems when trying
to pay for documents to be copied from the Archives? I have been trying to pay
for copies for more than a week now without success. Every imaginable form of
credit card receives a "transaction failure" notice due to a problem with
"parameters." The webmaster there does not respond to emails. If anyone has any
suggestions, please let me know. Many thanks.
