This is another hilarious argument. Were the Hindus and Muslims, in Goa, who joined in the protest, (along with Catholics) “from the extremist religious right -- with hard-line religious views”?

For the record, the subject line is not mine. However, do you advocate that the public should toe the line and remain mute in such cases, just because it passed the Government censors? If so, why does a large section of the US population raise a hue and cry about the Iraq invasion by the US -- after all it was the US Government’s (hard-lined) decision.

Marlon: I rather refrain from wasting time with you, because I find your writings outright obnoxious, abusive and disrespectful. … just read Goanet archives, for enlightenment of your demonstrated disrespect and disregard for the sensibility of others on the net.

Years ago, I remember the argument you made objecting to the one-line birthday greetings someone posted on Goanet, saying such messages were hogging space and that the server was running out on its capacity. It was interesting then, that when I posed you the question: how so, -- you did not have a logical explanation. In essence, Goanet’s messages in those days were archived on the Yahoo-Groups server (with not restriction on space or postings) – for free!

The bottom line is: When you write about Goa/Goans, please check the facts with people on ground zero.

Best,
Joe Vaz
