In 1974, Yassar Arafat standing infront of the UN
general assembly said to the world:
"Today I have come bearing an olive branch and a
freedom fighterÂ’s gun. Do not let the olive branch
fall from my hand."
Since then, we have seen very little of the olive
branch from the Muslim community. We are constantly
told that it is a small section of the Muslim world
that is given to extremist ideology, if so then where
is the moderate Muslim hiding?
The silence from their so-called voice of moderation
is deafening, while fatwas are pronounced, holy-wars
are incited against the infidels, beheadings are
carried out under Sharia law, planes and towers are
brought down in the name of Allah, embassies are
burned to the ground on the flimsiest of excuses.
Meanwhile the world is held hostage to Muslim
sentiments outraged by cartoons and speeches.
