Honourable Moderator of GN Xri Noronha, Sorry for being retentive, but since Xri Correia raised the issue on the game I made a tiny attempt to respond. I was glad that Mr. Raul Fernandes responded and added his contribution to Goan hockey which all of us must value. In fact he has written to me asking how can we revive hockey in Goa. In my opinion one way is to install Astro Turf pitches in the homes of hockey schools, Monte de Guirim, Sao Britto and Dom Bosco. (But who is going to pay?) During my current visit to Goa I saw young school going children playing hockey on laterite in Campal, this surface is a no go if one wants to improve to international standards.
