2: If Rajan wanted the interview to be held on his terms, he should have written privately to the people whom he know, soliciting their questions for his interview AND NOT USED the Goanet Network and platform for the same. 3: I think the rules framed by the moderators, if the interview is to be held as a Goanet initiative, are by and large FAIR. Rajan Parrikar wrote earlier on Goanet 4: Once again, we USE Goanet only to solicit questions. == jc's response == I write to expressly agree with the main thrust of Sandeep Heble's post. I have emphasised the important points by placing them in CAPS (above). I suggest that this is unlikely to be the first time Rajan and Anand have read those view points. I add further that Rajan Parrikar has (in all likelihood) single/bi-handedly blown an excellent opportunity to promote dialogue between the two major Goan communities and the politicians. Additionally, I believe (like Sandeep Heble has rightly implied and expressed) that the GoaNet moderators have been more than fair and equitable in their position wrt this matter. The word 'USE' in #4 (above) is the main cause of the lurking suspicion that I personally have with many extreme idealogues and politicians (be they Congress, BJP, MGP or Marxist). Apart from the (perhaps incidental, perhaps Freudian) utilisation of the word 'USE' by Rajan Parrikar, it is this repetitious USING of people and platforms - which personally troubles me. It is the cause of so much distrust among our people. It is best called USE and DUMP. That method - I suggest - may be beneficial (to some) in the short run. Eventually, it will be hugely counter-productive. There is still time to repair the damage caused by this Rajan Parrikar expressed attempt at High-Jacking and effectively demanding to be a 'Dada' or "Don' as in some Bollywood movie. Bosco's post and GoaNet offer has still not been withdrawn. Let's use it constructively and equitably. UNLESS of course, the objective is to prove FN and Selma right!. I hope that Rajan Parrikar realises that the GoaNet moderators would be quite within their rights to dump from GoaNet ... the posts containing the Parrikar-Parrikar You-tube links. just my view jc
