Dear Goanetters,
I have observed my silence on this issue of MP answering questions put out by goanetters until now but I need to come in at this crucial juncture especially since I have been a member of goanet for a long long time. I have always held Selma in highest of esteem for her frank and frill-less opinions. I have also held Rajan Parrikar's work w.r.t. 'Saving Goa' in highest of esteem with due appreciation. Between the two, if I may be asked for my opinion, I would say that Selma and Dr Jose Colaco between themselves win this argument about Goanet hosting or not hosting the planned MP interview. I see no reason for having involved Goanet for the framing of the questions if it was not to host this rare interview. Doing this would change the entire picture about the 'Diaspora Goans' and the 'Active Goan Politicians' coming closer together fpr tje betterment of Goa and Goans as has been forseen by 'goasuraj' as early as almost nine years ago when it established its website the very first thing it did after the formation of the Party. There is no doubt in my mind that Rajan Parrikar will do a wonderful job asking the questions. But the excitement, enthusiasm and especially the 'shine' of it all has already been dulled, if I may say so. We want MP not answering the questions as a 'penitant' politician but the 'agressive' defender that he has always been of his beliefs and actions and convictions so that these can be matched by the equally agressive and ascertive other side which has the best overall interests of GOA and Goans at heart. Thro' all this, Goa has to make its choice if it is to groom its next in line CEO, since Goa cannot afford the luxury of wasting time on trials and errors deciding on individual personalities but on concrete underwritten 'system of governance' that Goa needs to be ushered to. In flat tone - the underlying need is that GOA NEEDS A 180 DEGREE TURN-AROUND if it is to survive as Goa that we Goans have dreamt about all along. floriano goasuraj ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carvalho" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Goa's premiere mailing list, estb. 1994!" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 11, 2008 9:41 AM Subject: Re: [Goanet] Framework to interview Manohar Parrikar and other Goanpoliticians on Goanet > > --- "J.
