Folks,
1) I think the Goanet moderators have let us down as I don't see any link
between
world Muslim demographics and Goa/Goans.
2) To answer the question above, this video which has been making the rounds
for
the past two weeks, originated from the extreme, Bible thumping, right wing
fanatics.
It is designed to scare and alienate people as in "If you are not with us, you
are against us."
3) More importantly, the stats in the video are all half baked. Check for
example, the stats
on fertility. High fertility means nothing when the infant mortality in the
country guarantees
that one in five children will not make it to its fifth birthday. Take a look
at the top 50 fertile
countries. All of them are dirt poor. The very same countries are the ones with
the highest
infant mortality rates.
4) I live in a country that depends on a growing work force to provide for the
health and
pension benefits of its ever growing population of senior citizens. The only
way the Canadian
work force can grow is by immigration. To all those people who want to have
more than two
children, I say, "Welcome to Canada."
