I am surprised that such a basic rhetorical question is asked after so many 
years of writing in the public domain. 

It should be obvious to anybody, let alone journalists, that there is a need to 
convince the rest of the people, including innocent children who might be 
influenced by these homophobic parochial religious beliefs and personal 
prejudices that they are being subjected to false propaganda. It is always 
important to expose misinformation of any kind, and provide accurate 
information from authentic sources. Otherwise, there is nothing to stop the 
general public from falling prey to parochial false beliefs and prejudices, as 
is true with casteism, astrology and miracle-mongering in India. 

Now as for the purveyors of biased false information themselves are concerned, 
I for one do not care what they believe in the privacy of their minds.
