I am surprised that such a basic rhetorical question is asked after so many years of writing in the public domain.

It should be obvious to anybody, let alone journalists, that there is a need to convince the rest of the people, including innocent children who might be influenced by these homophobic parochial religious beliefs and personal prejudices that they are being subjected to false propaganda. It is always important to expose misinformation of any kind, and provide accurate information from authentic sources. Otherwise, there is nothing to stop the general public from falling prey to parochial false beliefs and prejudices, as is true with casteism, astrology and miracle-mongering in India.

Now as for the purveyors of biased false information themselves are concerned, I for one do not care what they believe in the privacy of their minds. ***I do agree wholeheartedly with Dr.Santosh that we should not fall prey to casteism, superstition, quackery. We have to enlighten the minds of children about what is the scientific value of astrology without falling prey to the "scientific manipulations" and "scientific quackery".... We have also to teach why we Christians do accept the reality of miracles. It would be unscientific for us to say that there are no miracles in the light of Science. When we Christians speak of the truths of our faith (Trinity, Resurrection of Jesus, Assumption of Mary, Eucharistic Real Presence of the Risen Lord, Life after Death), we have to give them the grounding of our tenets of faith ("dogmas of faith"). It would be unscientific to deny them in the name of Science... We should write for the public domain. It is our human right....
