RESPONSE: NY and DC have pretty good public transit systems that stretch into 
the 
burbs. Perhaps Boston too! Albeit all public transportation is competing with 
the 
Interstate system that cuts through most major US cities.

RESPONSE: The Red Rocket has improved a fair bit this decade. While the bus 
frequencies have improved, the temperatures haven't.....;-)
