How is JW Red Label Gross? Because it is moderately priced compared to
Black Label or Chival Regal or Black Dog?

Or are you comparing it with Blue Label or Royal Salute?

Isn't everything relative? Perhaps you still remember that Goans
immediately after 1961 after the scotch was depleted, were quite happy
with Solan # 1
and heaven forbid the locally distilled Lighthouse?

Sir Roland,

I would not know anything about Goa immediately after 1961 or the
scotch drinking before that ......or even much after that.

All I can say is (and this is my personal opinion): Red label is gross
and if I were you, I would not offer it to any whisky drinker.

BTW: Solan no 1 (from the Solan factory) is reportedly infinitely
better than Red label.

If you are into labels....forget Salute, black or blue ....try the
Green and Gold ....just a touch of it with a tall glass of club soda.
More than a touch of any good scotch is for the 'Alchees'.
