Reading the Wikipedia page about Mozilla Firefox, I found this:
"Although Firefox uses open source core software, free licensing does not
extend to the artwork. For this reason, software distributors who
distribute patched or modified versions of Firefox cannot use the Firefox
icon. However, versions based on the unmodified source code may be allowed"
With a reference to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:History_of_Mozilla_Firefox#Note_about_.22Branding_and_visual_identity.22

To me this means that we are allowed to redistribute official branded
versions of Firefox 2.x (as they don't need any patches). For Firefox
1.5.x I have contacted Gerv to see if the patches are ok to use with an
official branded build.

PS. I'm working on a Firefox 2.0rc1 recipe and package, which will be
available soon.
