I'm not sure that is a practical concern.  Who's creating these Gobo
specific bugfixes.  Firefox has a strong brand which MIGHT worth using
against a hypothetical situation.

It should definately be available and if it's brand becomes
strong/recognizable, an outright replacement (on the LiveCD) would be
warranted.  Otherwise the confusion for users would not be worth it.
I have specific concerns of user agent string, .mozilla prefs dir and
extension compatibility.  Basic compatiblity issues with any fork as
time goes on.
