Unfortunately, to provide such fine control is probably beyond the scope of a generalized API. Further, I would think it would eventually become an unacceptable dependency and/or performance hit to have to depend on Google's translation service to render your entire application.
That said, if you *really* want to do it this way, here's how I would do it: Compile all of the interface labels, etc., that you want to translate into a single translation request and then parse them out on their own. Surround all the words or phrases that you DON'T want translated with identifiable html tags. You can then go through the translated result and revert them appropriately. Jeremy R.
