I am also having this problem. Odd that the Gsync app on my Blackberry seems to work just fine, every time I check it the latest sync is within some reasonable amount of time. It just seems that iCal stops working after a few syncs. But if I close it and relaunch it, then it seems to sync just fine for a while again. I wasn't on the beta so I can't give any feedback on that.
