You can make the suggestion to the Google team by reading this thread

The only issue is use the OpenSocial feature requests and if they feel
it will benefit all the other social containers it may get added but
as posted several times by Google any feature requests for the 'legacy
api' will get their lowest possible priority (deprecated container),
so if it is something the Open Social community would love you got a
chance but anything to better our beloved iGoogle well, those requests
will go unheard more then likely since their focus is no longer on
iGoogle but the Open Social container instead.
