Hi VNG, The only mean of communication available in iGoogle gadgets is HTTP proxied through gmodules.com. The production area only support HTTP GET, but this will be extended (POST) when the new gadgets.* API goes live. But still, only HTTP which is proxied.
I have not developed any communication with Desktop Gadgets, but this might be possible there. Please check the documentation and the group available here: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Desktop-Developer The Desktop gadgets experts are there.
