Hello,

I upgraded to 3.0 to try to avoid an error I suddenly started to get
in 2.7. It didn't fix the error:

When I try to send pics via email using my Gmail account, I get an
error "an error has occurred trying to send your message. Please try
again later" In 2.7, the message was more verbose showing all HTML,
and an error relating to a malformed request.

When trying to send the file using the Linux default email app
(Evolution), it tells me that it can't find the attachment. Using
Ubuntu 9.0 (Jaunty). This also happened in previous version of
Picasa.

The Gmail-specific error started after changing my Google password.
However, I have updated the user account in Picasa by using the link
for "change user" and saved my settings. -- I didn't notice that
feature in Picasa 2.7, though it was probably there.

So I'm stuck and can't send photos easily. Ideas?

Barron

The attachments should be saved (for your mail client to find) in:-
/home/baz/.google/picasa/3.0/dosdevices/c:/Documents and Settings/baz/Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Picasa2/temp/email/temp/

Replace "baz" with your user name of course!
You can check to see if the images are there.

Picasa 3 should work OK with Evolution out of the box, but if you want to try Thunderbird then you can use my script :-

You may find the bug report mentioned in that link useful in sorting your issue with Evolution.
