:( thumbs down Google -1. We use this for the US government... can't say I
didn't see this coming but still wtf, bringing this news to my superiors is
not going to be fun. How about cross platform compatibility I mean my
applications aren't just your map their tons of custom controls (built by
teams over the years not just me) and other way more important views with
your maps sprinkled in there to make it all look more friendly. All I can
say is this makes me extremely sad, what are we supposed to re-write all of
our AS3 components in HTML5/Javascript to keep your maps? (how about the
service layer, BlazeDS and AMF is replaced by what? bloated ass XML or
JSON)... I know it's not your problem but WTF! Your just putting another
crushing blow on AS3 developers and pushing more to use HTML5/Javascript
which will not help your Android market since that will make Flash a moot
advantage over Apple's iOS offering (a major reason people buy Android at
least from what I've heard personally is 1 it's cheaper and 2 you don't get
flash support on iOS). IMHO this is a bad decision, but who gives a crap
about the people who use and support your products right... this is straight
Apple mentality.

Alright done venting. Unless I get an e-mail or hear in the news that this
has been reverted I don't think I'll be coming back here to support a dying
product, my apologies to the community.
