Hello everyone, I'm new to the group - first post. I've been .net developer for most of the past decade, but have really enjoyed using Actionscript for a recent project... to the extent that I'm thinking of going over to the dark side. Or returning from the dark side, based on your perspective.
A month ago when I evaluated the use of the GM API for this little Flex project I was suitable impressed. Everything actually worked right the first time. So imagine my surprise a few days ago when I saw the deprecated notice. Dang it. After checking again on Bing and Yahoo, I went ahead and implemented GM anyway. My message to Google bean counters- Flash is NOT going anywhere. Dont write it off. Based on mutli-platform mobile deployment capabilities , I think Adobe has a shot at capturing more development mind share. Javascript doesnt produce killer Android /IOS apps.
