this is exactly what i am seeing as well, using firebug. but i still can't get a handle on why it's happening, or what will fix it. i'm having anothing puzzling problem that may or may not be related: out of the nearly 2000 polylines that i'm trying to draw on the map, there are some specific lines that i can't get to show up when i draw them as encoded lines. they are concentrated on two of the hawaiian islands. i've set up a demo of this at http://chrysalisuniversal.com/demos/hawaii/hawaiilinesdemo.html.
clicking on "put one set of encoded lines on the map" is supposed to draw three lines, one on each of the big islands of hawaii. clicking on "put decoded lines on the map" will show you what it supposed to appear. you can see it's happening with the other lines as well, by clicking "put all encoded lines" and comparing it to "put all decoded lines". they are all coming from the same set of coordinates, whether encoded or not. i've also checked my encoding against the interactive polyline tool, and the lines draw there -- though i suspect they are drawn with coordinates and not encoded points. i'm seeing some similar stuff in firebug to the disappearing lines, and i think the source of the problem may be the same, but again i can't figure out why it's doing this. this is a serious issue because this application is mainly for use in hawaii and puerto rico -- why couldn't they be disappearing in europe or africa instead? :P thanks for any ideas -- you guys have been a great help already in helping me track down and understand what's going on. violet --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
